2012 ONAC Round Table Discussion

Closing the Gap Series: Race, Wealth, and Homeownership In Oklahoma
Held March 15, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma

On March 15, 2012, ONAC hosted a round table discussion on race, wealth, and homeownership in Oklahoma.  During the event, Kate Richey, Policy Analyst from the Oklahoma Policy Institute, presented information on the  widening racial wealth gap.   Also, Dr. Angela Gobar, Director of Human Capital Development at Jackson State University,  presented information on the housing crisis in Oklahoma.  Their presentations were followed by a discussion among participants.   ONAC catalogued the research needs expressed by ONAC constituents during the event.  Given this feedback, ONAC is planning a follow-up research project with Dr. Gobar.
